ODU Film Fest Starts TODAY!!!!

Today’s movie screenings include:




“Inglourious Basterds” (2009) at 1 p.m. in the University Theatre Auditorium. Hosted by Heidi Schlipphacke, Dept. of Foreign Languages.



“Kicking It” (2008) at 6 p.m. in River Rooms, Webb University Center. Hosted by Sam Evans, Dept. of English.



“The Big Lebowski” (1998) at 6 p.m. in Hampton/Newport News Room, Webb University Center. Hosted by Kyle Nicholas and Tim Anderson, Dept. of Communication and Theatre Arts.



OPENING KICKOFF EVENT

“Field of Dreams” (1989) in University Theatre – 6 p.m. Reception and Opening Remarks followed by movie screening. Hosted by Tom Socha, Dept. of Communication and Theatre Arts.



The program will include special guests ODU baseball coach Jerry Meyers and Rip Tide from The Norfolk Tides. Attendees can register to win a four-pack of tickets for an upcoming Norfolk Tides game. This event is free and open to the public.

Starting at 5:30 p.m., meet former Notre Dame football player Daniel "Rudy" Ruettiger, NFL Hall of Famer Bruce Smith, Monarch football coach Bobby Wilder and ODU's mascot Big Blue at a tailgate-style reception on the Field Pass Terrace at Foreman Field at S.B. Ballard Stadium. 102.1FM’s “The Game” sports talk radio show will be broadcasting live from the tailgate reception! Tickets for this event are FREE for ODU students, faculty and staff. Go to the Arts & Letters box office, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, in University Theatre to pick up your FREE ticket.
