So here's the latest from the NEWZ in the NEOSOUL LOUNGE:
Kanye arrived minutes before he was set to go onstage as the last act of a star-studded charity show. Besides Common, Nas, Ludacris, Mos Def, De La Soul, Heavy D, Queen Latifah, and other acts had delighted the crowd. They were all relaxing in the green room when Kanye walked in and noticed a guy eating chicken. He took offense and blurted petulantly “Why wasn’t I offered chicken? It’s NOT FAIR- you want me to perform for free – everyone is eating – WHY AM I NOT EATING!” A waiter apologized and pointed out “You didn’t ask for chicken!” Well, I’m ASKING NOW!! Other celebrities watched Kanye’s loud chicken tantrum in total shock. His girlfriend Amber Rose just stepped back and let him rant. The waiter rushed him a plate of chicken and Kanye literally took ONE bite and dumped it before he grabbed the mic and went onstage, leaving everyone shaking their heads.

It will be two years this November, since the College Dropout's mother passed away under suspicious circumstances. Since her death, Kanye had had some several moments big and small that have put him under scrutiny. The most memorable is the recent moment where he interrupted the 17-year old Taylor Swift from properly accepting her VMA.
We celebrate entertainers, they bring us joy with their music and thrill us with their movies and the like. However, it seems that the general public seems to take pleasure in seeing the stars fall instead of enjoying them at high noon. We ridiculed Michael Jackson and the talk show circuit's ratings skyrocketed over the King of Pop's fall from public grace. Yet, no one in his circle stepped forward to intervene in his self destruction. It can be reasonably argued that between Jackson's addiction and court dates he went into a state of depression which he numbed with pain killers. Yet, when he died, everyone was left void, confused, and saddened.
I don't want to make rushed comparison's between the two artists but the stress of the business, success, and Kanye's mother's death does leave one to wonder. How much drinking has Kanye been doing on and off the red carpet? Kanye has performed at many charity functions without fail and with grace and style ... yet now, his behavior is erratic and irrational.
The point is this, if fans, media, and the artist inner circle, don't start intervening instead of ridiculing ... the artists we enjoy will continue the same cycle that's been maintained since the MTV age began. Celebrate the Rise, Enjoy the Fall, and pretend you didn't make jokes on the way down. For Kanye, Last Call, won't be a song on his famed College DropOut album it could be his swan song... and that's coming Straight from My Pen.
