Are you ready for some FOOTBALL?!

It's official...The Saints ain't the "Aint's" No More. The New Orleans Saints won its FIRST EVER Super Bowl title last night against the Indianapolis Colts.  It's so heartwarming that the Saints won...not only because of the fact that they were the "underdogs", but also because that the city itself has been through so much.  With Katrina ravaging the city 4 years ago, Americans wondered if New Orleans would ever bounce back.  Last night proved that New Orleans is BACK and BETTER THAN EVER.

After a slow 1st quarter start of being scoreless, the Saints came back with a vengeance during the 2nd, 3rd and 4th quarter.  When everything was all said and done, The Saints ended up "galloping" all over the Colts with a final score of 31-17.  Drew Brees led the team to a well deserved victory, while also picking up the MVP award.  WHO DAT.

A Super Bowl blog would not be complete without the world-famous Super Bowl commercials.  I must admit that's the main reason I watched the game.  This year did not disappoint...there were some hilarious ads.  My personal favorite of the night were the Doritos ads.

Here's the one where the little boy slaps the guy...

"Keep your hands off my mama, keep your hands off my Doritos" LOL.

This one deserves an honorable mention.  This is the ad about the E-Trade babies. Milk-a-WHAT?

Now how bout that halftime show.  Ever since the "Nipplegate" scandal 6 years ago, the NFL has played it safe and had performances by classic rock artists that would appeal to the older viewers.  The Who are indeed rock legends, with awesome songs, but Daltrey sounded a bit gruff.   However, you have to take into account that Roger Daltrey is 65 years old.  They sounded alright despite the fact that they are past their prime.  They did a whole slew of their greatest hits, from "Behind Blue Eyes", "Pinball Wizard", "Who Are You", "Won't Get Fooled Again" and my personal favorite "Baby O'Riley".  The lights show was pretty awesome.  I think that the NFL should get somebody more relevant though, to appeal to all viewers...like the Black Eyed Peas or something.

All in all, it was a good Super Bowl.  Hopefully next year my dream will come true and the Dolphins will make it. Haha. Like that's really gonna happen!

Keep it classy,
Tbone
